Adidas Launch Input Code
The new Input Code collection you see here features golden for all of adidas’ current line up, so we get Pred, X, Copa and Nemeziz editions all featuring the distinctive premium colour either as the base or as stylish accents.
Why gold? Well, these boots are released to coincide with the return of the elite European football party, the UEFA Champions League, and will be worn by only selected players aiming for glory in the tournament. And let’s be honest, gold really is the only appropriate colour of choice for this occasion. Expect to see Dele Alli, Ter Stegen taking to the pitch in the Predator, Dybala and Joao Felix sporting the Copa, whilst Mo Salah will be leading the charge in the X19. Quite a line up.
So, the true boot heads will have definitely noticed half this pack already made their public debut earlier this year. The Nemeziz 19+ and the X19+ you see here dropped back in June, then dubbed as Inner Game Pack, but frustratingly it was only the Nemeziz that made its’ way to Europe.
Now the full line up of boots are all present and correct and the pack gets an update as Input Code, continuing adidas’ techno-themed pack names for 2019. It also means we finally get to delight in the best looking X19 to date.
Yep, it’s the X19 that steals the show once again. The colour combination is easily the best on this generation of adidas’ speed boot. The shining gold sole plate, golden three stripes, all with the black collar just set the look off.
Running the X close for best looking boot is the Copa, another all white upper edition but impeccably styled with gold accents. We just wish adidas gave the Copa sole plate the same shining chrome effect treatment as the other boots, then we’d be struggling to pick a favourite. But there’s no arguing this is one of the best looking of the new Copa generation, you just know it’s going to look fly when Dybala rocks these on pitch although it would look even sweeter matched with Real Madrid’s home kit.
If you’ve got a familiar feeling with the Predator, you’d be forgiven as there’s some definite similarities to the 25 Years Beckham & Zidane collab from early 2019. Now if you loved the execution of that boot, you’re in for a treat here, as the predominantly gold upper returns this time with a lighter royal blue for company. Again, the sole plate adds the golden touch for that elite premium look.
Finally, the Nemeziz from Inner Game joins the line-up and here it’s more of the same, taking the blue upper and adding white three stripes and the shimmering gold split sole for a unique look. If the laceless version still isn’t doing it for you, head for the .1 model which offers a more traditional silhouette for this third generation Nemeziz.
We’re all about bringing you the latest boot drops but if you’re not familiar, we’re prodirectsoccer.com and the proud home of the world’s biggest bootroom.
Whilst there’s no new models in this drop – this is simply an elegant colour update to coincide with the return of the world’s richest club tournament. It’s also not as fully loaded as the Hard Wired drop but you still get elite level laced and laceless versions of your favourites to choose from and that really compliments the overall look and feel adidas are aiming at with this collection.
