New Balance Infinite Lite Pack
Before we get into the boot itself – yes, that is a signed Furon V5 in actual space. Cool eh? Even better, it could be yours if you manage to guess exactly where it landed when it came back down to Earth. For a chance to win the pioneering boot, follow our social channels and share your reaction with #SpaceMane.
Okay, let’s take a look then. At first glance, the Infinite Lite Pack Furon might appear to be a regular whiteout. But no: zoom in and you’ll see that the accents are applied with a space-age pearlescent effect that looks like something out of a Marvel movie. Turn the boot upside down and it’s more impressive still. The entire soleplate features the same effect, lending it a celestial quality. Fitting, given that New Balance have designed the boot for players that shine on the pitch like the brightest stars in the galaxy.
Technically speaking, the Furon V5 is one of the best forward’s boots money can buy. It’s lightweight, comfortable, and, most importantly, absolutely excels at quick cuts and turns thanks to its full-foot Fantom Fit skeleton and date-driven soleplate construction. No wonder Sadio Mane loves wearing it so much.
The Infinite Lite Pack isn’t solely about the Furon, however. The playmakers’ favourite Tekela has also been decked out in the stratospherically cool colour scheme, with its trademark Kinetic Stitch bands across the upper heightening the effect. The Tekela remains a V1 – NB haven’t seen the need to update the silo as of yet, which we’re absolutely fine with. It’s an excellent all-rounder, providing an effective combination of fit, feel, and touch.
