Nike Phantom VSN Elite x EA Sports
This is the third instalment in what looks like being an annual event, but it’s an EA Sports debut for the Phantom VSN as it follows the 2016 Mercurial and 2017 Hypervenom in being given some digital love. This year’s design brings together the two major platforms for virtual footie, featuring a pattern of button inputs all over the upper. And get this: if you enter all the inputs for your console in order from heel to toe, absolutely nothing happens (why would it?).
The boots do feature a sick reflective upper though, silver with a blue tint, and the soleplate is a pearlescent chrome similar to that used on concept cars. Crimson Red Swooshes and stud tips complete the look, along with a gold EA Sports logo on the Ghost Lace system cover. So good.
The Elite is what Man City’s Kevin De Bruyne will be donning when he slips on the Nike X EA SPORTS Phantom VSN and returns to action this week, and he’ll be joined by Chelsea star Fran Kirby and Juventus dynamo Federico Bernardeschi to make a trio of game-ready ballers.
We can’t tell you how good these look in the flesh; you have to see them to understand. They’re bound to be popular too – EA Sports collabs always are – so keep it locked to prodirectsoccer.com on 12.12.18 to make sure you grab your pair of Nike X EA SPORTS Phantom VSN football boots.
