The Nike Phantom VSN is a thing of beauty. It has stormed pitches across the globe since its release, relegating the mighty Magista to relic-from-the-past status. For its' next impressive move it is to being made the flagship stadium footwear piece in the huge crossover between Jordan and Paris St. Germain, where two icons are brought together in a world-first collaboration between football and basketball. Check out all you need to know about this special edition release below.

In the one corner, Paris has always been a place for artists; a place where the most talented people in the world gather to express themselves. On the football pitch Paris Saint-Germain have been taking their cues from this ethos, gathering some of the best players on the planet – artists in their own right – and giving them the platform to show off their audacious talent.

In the other corner, you have the Jordan brand, which is, quite simply, the sickest in the game. The Jumpman energy, attitude and swag is the perfect fit for the flair of Paris. Now their synergy has given us a belting combination of two worlds, the likes of which we have not seen before.

What this means for the Phantom VSN is a gorgeous new look, complete with the iconic Jumpman logo on the bold, chrome-red heel. The heel colouring then leads down into the full chrome-red Hyperprecision soleplate for a stunning appearance. At first glance, the upper appears black with a white dot pattern, but when light shines upon it, it reflects, as does the Swoosh, making it truly standout under the floodlights.

Internally, the Jordan x Paris logo is written across the insole, with the Jumpman replacing the A. It’s a nice finish that doesn’t restrict the boot to PSG fans only.

On the tech side of things, the Phantom VSN doesn’t change; it still utilises the ghost lacing system for a clean striking zone, combined with targeted micro-texturing moulded into key areas of the upper for a precise touch when receiving the ball, passing and striking.
