The Tiempo has always been a special boot. It’s Nike’s longest-standing silo, and it’s been worn by some of the greatest players in the history of the game.

No surprise then that the Swoosh have today honoured its heritage with a unique White/Black/Gold special edition, bringing all that class to the fore in a design that’s gilded with gold. Scroll down for a closer look.

The boot features a clean, two-tone upper, with the white at the forefoot transitioning into black at the rearfoot in a familiar gradient design that’s become a staple of the Legend VII. The white and black colourway isn’t what makes this a special edition, however – it’s the touches of gold that make the White/Black/Gold Tiempo a true collector’s item.

Taking cues from the Sergio Ramos limited edition boot released last year, the Swoosh on this latest special edition Tiempo boasts a shiny gold border that glints when it catches the light. Flyknit and All Conditions Control callouts above the Swoosh are also gold, adding to the regal effect. Elsewhere, there’s a small golden Swoosh on the tongue, gold elements in the forefoot traction, and the “TIEMPO” lettering on the heel is gold too.

We’ve often described the Tiempo as the king of Nike boots, and that title’s even more apt here, as the classic design is crowned off with 24-carat details that wouldn’t look out of place at Buckingham Palace. Rest assured, wherever you play in the White/Black/Gold Legend VII – Westminster or West Yorkshire – you’ll be ruling the pitch within minutes of putting them on.
