PUMA Alter Reality Pack
PUMA have a history of promoting up-and-coming talent, and that’s what they’re doing once again with the Alter Reality Pack, a limited edition paintjob for the ONE and FUTURE designed to highlight the skills of promising young players. Sound like you? Yeah? Let’s get into it.
The Alter Reality Pack is all about potential – the ability of a young player to break onto the scene and change the game as we know it. Hence the colour scheme’s dramatic shift from a subtle “Gun Metal Grey” on the upper to a vibrant “Fizzy Yellow” chrome soleplate, with a touch of iridescence on the ONE’s formstrip and the FUTURE’s Big Cat logo to bridge the transition. It’s clever stuff, actually. The technical term for those details is lenticular, which means the appearance of the boot changes as you move it around – so you really will be altering reality every time you step onto the pitch.
Tech-wise, the Alter Reality Pack features the same designs as the previous Power Up Pack. For the ONE, that means enhanced contouring on the upper for maximum spin generation and a slightly more streamlined feel. The FUTURE, meanwhile, has seen a significant improvement to the NETFIT lacing system, which is now fully integrated with the evoKNIT pro upper. It’s the most customisable boot on the market in terms of fit, which makes it a great option for anyone who’s yet to find a boot that suits them in that respect. The difference it makes to overall comfort is huge – you really can lace them however you want.
As you’d expect, some of PUMA’s hottest young talents will be wearing the Alter Reality Pack on-pitch, including Wales U21 and Schalke winger Rabbi Matondo, pictured below, Brazilian U17 star and rumoured Real Madrid target Reinier Jesus, and the latest teen prodigy off the Man City conveyor belt, Englishman Keke Simmonds. Reckon you’ve got what it takes to join them?
