Under Armour Spotlight Blue Circuit
Sparking images of electricity, Under Armour present the “Blue Circuit” Spotlight, the second colour-up in the 18/19 season for the silo. Ironically, the Spotlight has been waiting in the wings in the Premier League somewhat this season, with its partner silo, the Magnetico, taking centre stage on the feet of players like Trent Alexander Arnold and Granit Xhaka.
However, the combination of white, grey camo and striking blue accents make this Spotlight a very attractive alternative – literally – and you’re sure to see Lyon’s Memphis Depay giving his opponents in Ligue 1 and the Champions League nightmares in them. Take a closer look at the boot below and read on to find out more about the tech behind their stunning exterior.
A speed boot that’s been designed to make you faster in every direction, the Spotlight features an Internal Fit Sleeve that ensures that when you put the boot on, it stays on. Sounds logical enough, right? When you put a boot on, you don’t want it coming off in a game. But it’s more than that – when you’re traversing at such speeds, you need to feel secure in your boot, with minimal movement and slippage internally, and that’s exactly what you get with the Spotlight.
Flip the boot over and you’re greeted by the transparent outer on the soleplate that shows off the carbon composite plate underneath. It’s this plate that delivers the lightweight performance and stability that Memphis relies on as he’s tearing up the pitches in France.
The form-fitting synthetic leather previously found on the vamp is now extended towards the heel on the medial side, providing a better contact and control on the ball. The laces have been uncovered once more but they’re off-centre, providing an increased strike zone. And it’s all wrapped up in the tidy white, grey camo and blue circuit package. Spotlight, it’s your turn to shine.
