Nike release stunning T90 Tracer Anniversary ball
If it's good enough for Dimitar Berbatov it's good enough for us. Nike have just released the Nike Anniversary Premier League Total 90 Tracer ball and it still looks as good now as the original it did on debut a decade ago.
Used in the top flight during 2010/11, Manchester United's languid Bulgarian had his best Premier League season in front of goal with the OG version of the T90 Tracer glued to his feet.
His flicks, touches and 20 goals helped fire United to the title for the 19th time and few have looked cooler doing the business, or made it look as effortless, as Berbatov.
The T90 Tracer was the focal point of a golden era for the top flight with Premier League legends including Didier Drogba, Steven Gerrard, Carlos Tevez, Wayne Rooney and Cesc Fabregas all going to war in the battle for control over the Tracer.
It's a classic ball and this remake is a faithful restoration of one of the Prem’s best-looking ever, complete with classic branding and details just like the original.
Based on the ball used in games, this version comes in a stylish presentation box with current Premier League branding and a message from Nike on the inside of the lid which explains that the T90 Tracer has been remade to, “Honour the past and to celebrate the future of Premier League football.”
If you're brave enough to use this slice of history in action it's packed full of technical goodies such as the five-layer synthetic casing which includes cross-linked foam and vulcanized rubber, just like the OG.The recent Geo Merlin and Total 90 Aerow remakes absolutely flew off the shelves and into top corners across the globe, so if you like the look of the T90 Tracer make sure you get a move on to avoid disappointment.
