Introducing a new silhouette that brings Nike's most innovative cushioning technology to the 24/7 football crew. Built for performance but with a focus on style, the Nike FC React is ready to bring the runaway success of the Epic React series to a new audience.

First up though, yes, the official name for this shoe is 'Nike FC' but in order for that not to get lost in a new wave of jerseys, pants and more we're going to call this from now on as the Nike FC React. Because that just makes more sense and also gives a big clue as to why this is about to become your new favourite sneaker.

Released earlier in 2018, React sole technology is the result of a relentless desire to deliver the softest, lightest and most durable cushioning to come out of Nike's Sport Research Lab. Already a winning silhouette in the form of the Epic React running shoe, the Nike FC React brings that same technology to a performance training based model that equally looks good in the urban jungle.

The React midsole is included here in the most common visual form with a full length gum coloured outer layer. Aesthetically the Nike FC react shoes feature a streamlined two tone mesh upper which extends to a wrap around ankle collar. On the instep just below the base of the metatarsals is a small section of added grip, enough to remind you of this shoes’ footballing intentions. Moving towards the back of the shoe is a smart suede heel panel finished off with a bright red Nike FC heel pull tab.

This isn't the first foray into footwear for FC, the fictional club has delivered street outings with the main Nike football silos including Mercurial, Magista, Hypervenom and Tiempo as well as tried and tested Swoosh staples such as Air Max and Air Force (keen sneaker-heads out there will also point to the more niche releases under SB and Kobe sub-brands too).

However, this time around the FC addition is less for show and way more for go. Deliberately avoiding stepping on the existing performance toes in a FootballX space, this is a shoe intended to go the distance in the gym or on the court, all the while looking the part. We'll think you'll agree it succeeds.

The Nike FC React in Black/Legion Green are available from from September 4th 2018
